Here's the contract terms they say I must follow:

7.	 RETURN OF RECORDS. Upon termination of this Agreement, Contractor shall deliver all records, notes, data, memoranda, models, and equipment of any nature that are in the Contractors control and are _ property or relate to _'s business.</description>

I think it's also good practice to just know your rights as a worker in general here in the U.S. &lt;http://www.dol.gov/elaws/&gt;

        <description>Definition of a Pitch should go here. I think anything that requires original visual content creation by the designer should be considered a “Pitch” and should be negotiated for pay as such. On the otherhand a text treatment where a designer/studio writes out the guidelines from which the direction of the project will go could be considered for no pay. I'm still not fully clear and would love to hear others opinions on this subject.</description>

        <description>I propose the use of the U.S. Better Business Bureau and their online search utility to identify potential work leads as having troubled pasts. I say this as we need a method for risk management. I don't believe a “black-list” is the most ethical solution. The Better Business Bureau is a legit entity and can be used by anyone virtually anywhere to see if a company has had issues when handling in payment to freelancers, etc. The best part is it's free to use and open to anyone.</description>
